James 3:18 says, ‘Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.’ The main characteristic of godliness is peace.
After another long, stressful week a lot was on my heart and mind as I worshipped in our Sunday evening worship service. The Lord spoke to my heart and He said to me ‘no matter what you continue to operate in the spirit of love.’
Many say, ‘Lord give me wisdom.’ True, Godly wisdom is always displayed through one’s ability to sow peace among the brethren. Wisdom will never be found when one is in the spirit of anger, bitterness, hatred, resentment, envy, or revenge. All of those are behavior that steals, kills, and destroy the fruits of righteousness in one’s life. God will never lead a true believer into a life of bitterness. His full intention for every believer is unity. Hebrews 12:14 says, ‘Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.’ Righteousness has fruit, according to scripture, and that fruit is peace. It may be hard, but the Lord says no matter what someone says or does to you, you must remain in Love.
Without love, there will be no peace in your life.
