Good morning with Brother Johnny's word for the day -
In chapter two, verse two of the book of Ruth, you will find an amazing word. It's the word ‘glean.’ It says, ‘she left and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers.’
The Lord spoke to my heart yesterday about the book of Ruth, which I have not read in a while. He said, ‘yes many harvesters have gone before you and have harvested the open fields. But remember, there is still plenty of fields to be gleaned yet. Go and glean the corners, the nooks, and what has been left in the open fields by those harvesters.’
Yes, my friend, many have gone; but the fields are still full of those that have been looked over. It's our time to glean the fields, to reap the harvest, and to gather the crops before the season is over. Let us not be caught alongside the roads as beggars. The Bible teaches that you will not find God's children begging for food. Let us not be beggars, but gleaners of God's field. Let us put our hands to the work of God and never look back, as many have. Luke 9:62
Be about the work of God until there are no more fields to glean and no more time to glean them.
Matthew 9:35-38
