Word for the Day

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heavens. One of the hardest thing for me to do after I was saved, was to learn the purpose of each day. I had a growing company with many crews which meant I needed to have the day, week, then the month, then at least a year’s work lined up. I also was concerned about retirement I wanted to retire when I was around fifty. Then set back and live life as I wanted to. My whole life was deeply involved in living life in another time. The transition from planning, to waiting was very difficult. Being patience, was most definitely not in my day. After many years of trial and failure, God has taught me the art of purpose. That everyday has its purpose. And that everyday of my life is the purpose of life and His plan. To live life as God intended it to be live. To wait and see God at work in everyday life. We pray but never look for those prayers to be answered. We go to church but never expect God to speak to us in the sermon. We help others and never take a moments to see the joy in their face. We have family but never spend time with them. We should ask ourselves a question. Where are you going? One day life will have no more purpose. And it will be too late to live out Gods purpose for your life. Today is the day that God has given you to live and the purpose of this day is to see God at work in your day. Slow down enjoy every moment of this day. Ask God to reveal the purpose of the moment. Be thankful for this day. And those who God places in your life today will be the purpose of God for today. Ecclesiastes 3:14-17
