Word for the Day

Good morning with a word for the day-
Paul writes, ‘For we were saved in this hope,’ Romans 8:24.
Salvation is the most peculiar thing a man can come in contact with. It has so much power to convert a man completely, and then leave a man so bewildered that he can't think. It can encourage others while the man that has salvation is so discouraged themselves.
So, why is our salvation so complex? Because of the word ‘hope.’ Our hope is not of this world, and it's not from this world. Paul said the hope we see is not the hope we have. We struggle with salvation because of where we are. It's the world that we have to live in that does not make sense and the things we see that we must deal with. It puts our salvation in question. Our life puts so much pressure on who we are and what we have believed. It's our life that causes us to question all we are. But Paul said if we hope for what we can see, then that’s not the hope we need. The hope we do have is beyond what human eyes can see. Our hope is beyond human ability, and our hope is beyond who and where we are. Paul says in verse 25, ‘But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.’ All of our human emotions may be put to the test, they may be pushed to their limits, and yes our faith might be strained beyond its ability to even think at times. But, who we are and what we have comes from above. It's been given to us by faith. It's established in the power of a hope that we cannot see, and it's secure in the person who cannot fail: The Lord Jesus Christ.
He alone is able to keep what has so freely been given.
Ephesians 3:20
